  • English guidance available. International visitors and friends can enjoy authentic tea ceremony with explanations in English.
  • Convenient location near the station. Easily accessible from central Kobe's Sannomiya area, as well as the Shinkansen and airport. Perfect for refreshing yourself during sightseeing.

Experience Flow (approx. 45-60 minutes)

  • Welcome & Greeting: We'll briefly explain basic etiquette, including how to enter the tea room.
  • Savoring Seasonal Wagashi: First, enjoy seasonal sweets designed to delight the eyes as well as the palate.
  • Observing the Tea Preparation: Watch the instructor prepare the tea with heartfelt care up close.
  • Sipping the Tea: Taste freshly prepared matcha while learning the proper etiquette.
  • Try Preparing Tea Yourself (Optional) Participants who wish may experience preparing tea themselves using a chasen whisk.

Important Notes (For Your Comfort)

  • Clothing & Accessories: Please remove rings and watches to avoid damaging precious tea utensils. We recommend loose-fitting clothing that covers the knees.
  • Socks: To protect the tatami mats, we kindly ask you to wear white socks. (Please inform us if you forget to bring them on the day.)
  • For Those Uncomfortable with Seiza (Advance Request): For those who are uneasy about sitting seiza-style, we can provide chairs (standing reception seating). Due to preparation requirements, we would appreciate it if you could inform us of this need at the time of booking.
  • Perfume To fully appreciate the delicate aroma of the tea, please refrain from wearing strong perfume.
  • Cancellations As sweets are prepared in advance, please notify us of any changes or cancellations by 5:00 PM the day before.
